This jam-packed Warriors Three collection is an excellent and enthralling read for one main reason; the main three characters. The Warriors Three are wonderfully written characters- all with distinct personalities and traits, with constant light-hearted humour and persistent valour and spirit. Reading this compilation is unimaginably fun because of the rich characterisation of Fandral the Dashing, Hogun the Grim and Volstagg the Voluminous. Their middles ages era speech make for endless charm, and the stories included are incredible too. Not one story throughout is remotely dull or uninteresting whatsoever- and the collection could easily be read in one sitting if one had more time. My personal favourite story would have to be Marvel Spotlight #30 - in which the Warriors Three can be seen on the streets of New York City hungry for adventure, and ending up going on a fantastic one. The writing in every story in consistently great, with many emotions blended in with humour as well as more serious, action-packed sequences. In Marvel Fanfare #34,35 and 36 each warrior is given his own adventure (similarly to Thor #400,415 and 416), which clearly shows the obvious constrast between the three, who yet work so amazingly well together. The four-part miniseries of their own was splendid as well, and had been a long time coming. I feel that the Warriors Three should be utilised more nowadays, not just as side characters for Thor, but just themselves demonstrating their clear power and prowess. The art in the book is first class as well - from the classic grace of Jack Kirby at the start to the modern, detailed art from Neil Edwards at the end. Overall, this book is an unbelievably great read. Many may think this to be your ordinary Marvel comic collection, but the wonderful Warriors Three’s enthralling exploits in the astonishing realm of Asgard, with it’s nonstop imagination bursting from it’s seams, make this one a much different experience
