This book opened my eyes to the crisis in Sudan. A must read for anyone who doesn't know much about the situation

What is the what is certainly not an easy read. It makes your stomach turn multiple times and wonder how this is happening here and now. The interweaving of the present in America and the past narrative of his story in Sudan is skillful. I recommend this book to those who want to attempt to understand the madness occurring in Sudan.

What a story!
I know that this is fictionalized but imagine much of it is true (at least to the memory of the teller).
The story follows one of the lost boys of Sudan as they make their way to Ethiopia, then Kenya, and finally America. It is a long journey with danger in every place.

I read this after hearing Dave Eggers speak. It is an amazing story of the one of the Lost Boys of Sudan. It left me wanting to know more about how his life turns out!

Funny, tragic and heartwarming

I enjoy books that challenge me to see the world differently. This book did that. I highly recommend this book.

An outstanding book by an author I wasn't overly impressed with due to his manic writing style. Eventhough it's fiction if what is told is 1/10th of the atrocities that were happening it's heartbreaking. An absolute must-read!
