Sverdrup-Thygeson is an amazing author who is immensely passionate about conservation biology. As an environmental scientist I rapidly consumed this book in two sittings, just completely absorbed by all of the absurd and beautiful facts that the author shares with us. Her passion for her career and her expertise was so eye opening. The importance of the topic is communicated so effectively while drawing the reader further into the story with each page. This books makes you hungry to learn and consume more and more. This book sparked so much curiosity and admiration for our six legged brotheren who we are so lucky to share our planet with. This book is a major accomplishment in scientific communication and should be acknowledged as a template for the environmental professionals of our day to try to help people understand the importance of every organism that occupies our world.

A light, fun and thought-provoking dive into the world of insects with a super knowledgeable guide. The writing style was relatable and the information was fascinating without being too dense, employing some really cool vignettes into how insects work and affect our day-to-day lives.

This was a great read. Can't say I will remember everything, or even close to everything, but it definitely spiked my interest in bugs, and other tiny critters. So much I did not know, and so much interesting stuff there. Have entertained quite some people around me with weird facts.
