This book is a collects of very short, interesting vignettes. A fun read and learned some very fascinating facts of some of the most interesting animals.

Delightful read and chock full of fascinating information. I’ve been dispensing tidbits about bugs to my family for days now. They love it, I’m sure.

Insects! Blgh! And even after this book I’m not (and never will be) a fan but I’d never thought I would enjoy it so much. Anne is immensely passionate about insects and knows how to write about them in a way (short chapters , humor, anecdotes and simply fun facts) that grabs your attention. Yes, there were points where my attention slipped, but I also laughed, raised my eyebrows and found myself immersed in all the interesting facts.

4.5 stars for this fascinating book about the wonders of the insect kingdom. This is a book to savour, rather than to read straight through, packed as it is with tiny snapshots into the amazing diversity of insect life. The author's enthusiasm for creepy-crawlies is infectious and I ended the book with a new appreciation for insects and the many ways they support and improve life--including human life--on earth.
