This is the first issue of Fireside Magazine, seasonal and with more content, instead of the current shorter, monthly editions. It's a strong start for the magazine with some strong stories by a strong selection of authors.

A beautifully told tale about the value and perspective of stories and the current immigration issues in the US.

I loved this one. Troubled teenager Montana Burns spends time in a mental institution in the aftermath of traumatizing events she has gone through. There she not only has has to deal with her own issues but the issues of some other girls as well. A powerful story about sticking together even when things get rough. All told in Wendig's signature gritty style.

Snow Ninjas of the Himalayas **
Neither the art nor the story really did much for me unfortunately.

A well written and entertaining story about time travel and causality.

A noir-ish story about a notorious hitman trying to find out who, exactly, it is he has been working for all this time. Plenty of twists and reveals in this one.
