3. 75 star oh the feels
I greatly enjoyed the companionship of these four. The respect and love they lavished on each other and also in the end admiring each brothers differences. Out of the three Warol was my favorite Ragoru (canine like alien's) but in a weird way I came to love all of them. They had their quirks but the brothers doated on Arie so much I couldn't get enough.
Just reading about them nuzzling her and bidding for her attention made my heart swell. I have to say this story was very unique. I have never seen where multiple mates would have worked so well together. I feel like Arie got a little slice of everything. A complete family who all loved and needed one another. So close that if one mate was to die they could not have been replaced.
I'm not going to pretend but it did get rather weird at times. Somethings didn't make much since to me. Like the color of Arie hair (red) was a bad omen so no one could find out but she wore a hood all the time so why wasnt it obvious to everyone she was hiding something. Maybe she could have dyed her hair with berries I dunno. The Ragoru (canine like alien's) had double of everything which was cool their four eyes could move independently tracking more than one thing their four arms hold and rip apart at the same time. But when I say double everything I mean double everything (cough cough) which from a biological standpoint made no sense at all. Also the humans and Ragorus bodies are compatible but the offspring look like a slight smaller nibble version of the Ragoru. I just don't feel like that would be accurate it's not an even 50/50 swap. Moving on I wasn't sure why her cousin Madelin couldn't get married off and why Arie's grandmother needed her so badly. Omg and I think Arie got in way to many horrible situations. I honestly love her character but it's like everytime her mates turned around.
But still I just can't get over the companionship they all shared. I absolutely loved reading about it. Near the end this became one of my favorite paragraphs:
"He understood Kyx’s strange insecurities and could enjoy Warol’s sharp wit and fascinations. They had always been a strong triad, but Arie made them a better and more cohesive family."
At the beginning I could never understand how they could all come together and share but Arie made it possible. She loved their strength, flaws, insecurities, and even their scars. She made her mates feel equally loved and they worshipped her in return. My favorite parts were the cave scenes as her mates cuddled around her its seemed like each had a certain place they like to cling too omg so adorable. And those 12 arms to hold her eeek. I am just fangirling sorry.
Even though it was unique the story did have its draw backs. It got into the action quick but took to many wrong turns and always ending fine pretty much. The plot just needed more of a boost in my opinion. But in the end the overall characters and familia was spectacular.

I don't really know what to say to this. Three aliens in a reverse-harem, so it's great.
Simply wished that the female character was less of a wuss, in the best way that I can put it.

I liked the first half of the book a lot!
It was downhill from there. The plot took a strange turn that didn't seem cohesive. The world-building was great until a certain point and then it tried to jam an entire other arc in the last bit that felt rushed. The character relationships felt shallow and insta-love/best friends. If it had ended without the citadel portion this would have been a 3.5 star read.
