This was, as was the case with The Big Sleep which I read previously, was convoluted and uninteresting plot-wise. What really captured me, instead, was everything else. Marlowe's character, the prose, the INFURIATING WIT and STYLE just ... It pisses me off how beautifully and cleverly Chandler writes.
