So first things first. I have no idea if there’s a difference between a graphic novel and a comic book. They both seem to be the same and the feelings differ with stories in each book.

Just like Anthony Horowitz’s “Diamond brothers” series I enjoyed the first book of the “Alex Rider” series. It has the author’s signature dry wit with action and because it’s illustrated it has the visual bonus. It is interesting enough for me to want to read the next book in the series.

Definitely took some liberties from the book-- maybe this matches up closer to the movie? I love the Alex Rider series though, so this was a fun read. Great intro into the series!

I continue to be wowed by Anthony Horowitz’ series. The series is perfect for reluctant readers and the graphic novel interpretation is also admirable. If a young reader is even more reluctant, start them with this visual interpretation. It is sure to rope them in while also helping to hone reading skills.
