Cute little Cliff Notes for all of your high school career. I wonder if there's an updated version that could be useful for future generations as a tome to have on hand when needing to look up concrete things instead of just googling always.

Pretty awesome and fun book. Basically goes through the major topics of primary/secondary school, which is pretty fun to relearn / remember. And very informative for a person who has not attended primary and secondary school in the UK, I now know of English literature and history, and finally get what the whole Tutor thing is... ;-)

I'm just the type of geek/dork/nerd (whichever one is most appropriate) to love this book. I (annoyingly) read many passages aloud to my husband who wasn't as interested in playing along as I was. I also enjoyed sharing segments with my ten year old son, in hopes of solidifying some facts in his head before he forgets them as well! This is a great little book for folks who once prided themselves on being star students! (BTW, that was a little bit of alliteration I just used there at the end-- I didn't forget that!)

What a snappy little book! It's divided into sections, as if I was still in high school and had to walk from one class to another: English, Literature, Math, Science, History, Geography and General Studies. Some sections I read with relish from beginning to end (English and Literature) some I read part/skimmed part (Math and Science) and the others I happened to read aloud to my husband in the car. The history section was so interesting and the topics (mostly conflicts) were condensed in such a way that you got the basic plot PLUS why it was important, which half the time my husband and I don't ever even remember being taught in the first place. We also played a little jeopardy-type quiz - do you know your explorers? I only remembered having a huge test on them in the 5th grade and that's about it :)
It's the kind of book you want to have sitting around in a waiting area or a bathroom - it's clearly written, never wordy and full of interesting fact that maybe won't change your life, but might make you feel a little more intelligent next time you're in a conversation with someone who really knows their stuff.

Mainly wanted to remind myself of some basics about literature and English language, so I skipped some more boring and difficult things

I got this free through Nook Free Fridays and thought it sounded interesting. I think I was expecting something different though. I read the first chapter or so and got completely bored and skimmed the rest. This may have been more useful had I been out of school longer.
