3.5 ⭐️
This would have been a 4 ⭐️ easily, except for 2 issues.
The first half he’s an alpha-ass. Cruel when it’s not necessary, and lessens the type of individual he is.
Second, you have a kick-ass heroine who takes no bullshit … except at times from him?
After all she’s been through, survived …. These should be real trigger issues for her!
I found it hard to breath, and tensed at times imagining what it would feel like

Oh this book made my heart hurt. Saria was introduced in an earlier book as an evil princess (now Queen), and she maintains that icy exterior here, but she is carrying so much pain. She’s a prickly FMC who is secretly a wounded bird inside, and of course Roax feels crazy guilty when he realises how badly he’s misjudged her. I loved this story and read most it a little teary. My only complaint is that the ending was a little rushed.

Dragons AND aliens! What more could you ask for?

I absolutely ADORED this book! I loved learning more about Sarai’s past. The author did such a great job of telling the story of this “monster”, who really had a heart of gold. The romance between Roax and Saria was a slow build and not instant love, which was great. The story was absolutely incredible. The dragons were a huge surprise. All I can say is that there better be a dragon spin off with Bree and the Dragon King!

I’m getting tired of how abruptly these books end. I’d like a couple more chapters after all the big events to see the couple settle and blossom.

I'm going to say it - I think this is my favorite entry in the series. I adore Saria, and considering her start in Meghan and Methi's story, that's saying something. She's the definition of the misunderstood, prickly heroine. Roax didn't get alot of play in the earlier books, so I enjoyed getting to see more of him - he was the perfect match for Saria. Their banter is solid, the chemistry was great and other than a bit of letdown with the final battle scenes (which admittedly, are hard to write), I really enjoyed all of this.

This is quickly moving up my list of auto-checkouts. It's the alien SFR series I needed to fill that Planet Blue Balls void. *blinks* yeah I know there's a dirty joke in here, but Imma let it go.
