5 Presidential Stars
Charolette and Matt meet when she is just a girl. Their relationship is hinged on Matt running for president. Matt's platform as president, make me wish he was real so I could vote for him. He's real and true, but he saw his dad in the Oval Office ignore his family for the duty of the United States. To say I'm conflicted is an understatement.
“Why aren’t you married yet, anyway?"
"I’m waiting for her to grow up.”
Matt is sweet, so freaking sweet. And I felt their relationship grow. I wanted it, but I was scared for it to happen, because you know what's gonna happen if Matt wins, and how could Matt not win.
“Jesus, I would rather lose the presidency than hurt you."
This does end in a cliffhanger!
I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Until next time,

Matthew Hamilton is the son of a former U.S. President and the youngest man to run for President of the United States. Charlotte Wells is the daughter of a Senator who wants to make a difference but isn’t quite sure how to do it. In Mr. President, Katy Evans weaves a story of love that starts when an eleven year old Charlotte, who is harboring a crush on the President’s son, makes a promise to a boy to be a part of his campaign if he ever chooses to run for office. Flash forward years, and that promise seems to come back to haunt Charlotte as she watches Matt Hamilton announce his campaign for President. Still harboring her crush on the man of the hour, Charlotte reluctantly decides to join the campaign. From here Evans weaves a spellbinding account of forbidden romance among the crazy world of politics.
OH MY HEART GUYS!!
Let me just collect my thoughts over here for a minute…I’m still swooning!
Okay, so this is the second book from Katy Evans that I have read…Womanizer being the first, and I am not going to lie, I wasn’t 100% thrilled with that one. Man oh man am I glad I picked up Mr. President though!
She’s in me veins, this girl.
Mr. President was a refreshing splash amid all of the romance novels I have been reading as of late. It was beautifully written with the perfects amount of angst, heartbreak, and steam. I couldn’t have possibly asked for more from this book, and to be honest I’m not really sure why I waited so long to read this.
Matthew Hamilton is one DELICIOUS piece of man. He is wholly committed to being what the nation needs, and to be the President that brings around change. He is a determined and inspiring character. That fact that he is also the hottest thing to hit the political world since forever, is just an added bonus.
Charlotte Wells is a driven young woman, who is determined to show Matt’s campaign that she has so much to bring to the table. She is just as committed to putting her country first as Matt, even if that means she has to give up the only man she has ever loved. I seriously loved Charlotte’s character, I felt like she was such a strong heroine, and Evans did a fantastic job writhing her character. Charlotte was one of those characters that you want to be best friends with, as you routed for her the whole book.
So not only did I fall in love with each character in this book, even the side characters, but I fell in love with the development throughout the story. The unfolding of Matt and Charlotte’s relationship was perfect. I didn’t feel like it was rushed or unreal, it was a natural course that flowed fantastically as the book went on. Not to mention the chemistry between these two was freaking HOT!!
She grounds me.
She obsesses me.
She fuels me.
This woman not only makes me want to be a great man, she makes me want to be the best goddamn president that ever lived.
I really did just absolutely love this book. It wormed its way into my heart and I feel like these characters will always be apart of me. I can’t wait to find out how their story continues next!! I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romance!

I just can’t connect with any of this characters. Charlotte really annoys me, she can’t resist him and want every piece of the body but at the same time she doesn’t want to be caught with him and be the reason to loose the presidency which is what all of them been working so hard for, but then, again a second later she just doesn’t care and just act like a a more younger then she is. And Matt, oh Matt, I just can’t believe anything than come from you, there’s no click like I have with previous characters from this author. Maybe it’s because I listened on audiobook? Who knows, it’s just feel bored in most of the book, I hope the second and conclusion make me think different.
The first thing I have to say about this one is how much outside the box this book was. I really enjoyed the fact that there was NO Republican or Democrat side. Matt Hamilton is an independant and I really enjoyed that. This felt like the light side of politics. Something that you could sink into and really enjoy the slow burn that Charlotte and Matt have right from the start.
What I really enjoyed about this book was the chemistry that these two have. Also that it was not a jump in your pants right away kind of book. You could feel their characters build with each other and that let them really shine and stand out.
The story overall was beyond unique and I really enjoyed it, especially with all the political hoopla we are dealing with right now. This story was refreshing and I really cannot wait for more in the series! Bravo Katy Evans on the start of another stellar series!

Now Matt Hamilton is a presidential candidate that I can get behind. I read this during the last week of the U.S. election and I must say it was a great way for me to look at politics without feeling the need to stab someone.
The chemistry between Charlotte and Matt is intense. Like burn you up from the inside to the outside intense. The sexual buildup between the two of them was my favorite part of the book, I enjoy the characters suffering for a bit before the reward. And let me tell you, it was quite the reward!
Their relationship is quite the forbidden romance, simply because Matt is running for president and has pledged that America is his First Lady dooming himself to bachelorhood. He also lets Charlotte know upfront that if he wins the presidency he won't do it half assed, meaning no distractions. Even though they both know that it can't go anywhere they can't seem to stop the irresistible pull that is bringing them together. For a whirlwind of an election race we're sucked in right along with Charlotte and Matt, until we are brought to an ending with no answers about what their future holds.
I can't wait to see how Katy Evans evolves the relationship between Matt and Charlotte, I also can't wait to see more sparks between the two.

5 HAIL TO THE CHIEF CROWNS
Mr. President is the perfect example of Katy Evan's ability to write a hero that just has charisma and radiates sex appeal in a genuine and confident way. She creates the perfect balance of cocky yet humble, resulting in heroes that exude sex appeal, and just like the heroines in her stories, readers have no choice but fall for their charms.
Matthew encompasses every single aspect of her fantastically swoon-worthy heroes: confident, charismatic, fun, sexy, with a perfect blend of dominance and boyish charm. His demeanor throughout the novel, especially the integrity his character exudes, not only further endears the reader towards him as a man but also makes the reader wish they could truly vote for someone with his moral character and ideals. Even his reason for not wanting a girlfriend/wife is sensible and comes from a place of good. Throughout Mr. President, Matthew Hamilton has certainly won the vote of this reader.
Charlotte is such a sweet character. She believes in Matt's vision for the United States and is self-sacrificing in order to help him achieve his dream. Katy Evans also portrays Charlotte as being an equal to Matt, making her appear to be the perfect counterpart. She is smart and favors philanthropic activities, and most importantly, she understands the world of politics and the need for change, and she certainly becomes an asset to Matt during his race versus a distraction, which is a refreshing change of events in regards to the typically trope.img_8488
From the very beginning readers will be enraptured by the story, as Katy Evans begins this tale with the results from the election. By beginning the story with the end, the reader becomes more invested in their moments together. Readers savor every poignant interaction between the two, their declarations, and their embraces because the ending has already been revealed to the reader, and while the reader understands the decisions made by the characters, it doesn't make the inevitable falling action of the plot hurt any less. In fact, knowing the ending and then getting their story, in fact, increases the emotional impact of the climax, falling action, and resolution.
Mr. President has won the vote of this reader. With the fantastic writing, charming characters, and an enthralling and emotional plot captivating readers' attention from the very beginning, this book is firmly placed on the top of my political romance favorites. Since casting my vote for President Hamilton, I cannot wait to see what he does with his position and how he fights for love with the next book Commander in Chief.

I was slightly enthralled with the whole presidential thing. Possibly because I always wondered if Michelle called Barack Mr. President in bed. Such a nice angle I like it!
4.5 Stars!!
“The idea that Matt could be anything of mine is just mind-blowing, to say the least. But he could be my president. He was my first crush. He is my boss, and my candidate. And right now he is my very breath because nothing has ever felt as exciting to me as this man, this man in moment, sipping his coffee, leaning back in his chair, watching me with such lazy eyes–as if he has no intention of going anywhere.”
“I can’t not pursue her. I can’t give her up yet.” “You probably think it’s an obsession…but it’s more than that. She means more than that.” She ground me. She obsesses me. She fuels me.
Oh, Mr President!! How you’ve stolen my heart! With your sexy words and your undeniable charm. You have captivated and seduced me and left me wanting. No needing more. This book has exceeded my expectations and has given me things that I never knew I wanted. And I have to say, if Mr Hamilton existed in real life, he’d without a doubt have my vote

Ehhhhh. The relationship was trash and she was literally 18 and him 33. No thanks.
