I have loved books by both authors in the past so I was absolutely intrigued when I realized they would be co-writing this book!! I can 100% say I enjoyed this from start to finish!
The history between Wren and Stone added an extra layer of excitement and helps set up the enemies aspect so well and from their first meeting years later you could feel the tension between the two as it was practically jumping out from the book itself. There ARE aspects of bully but I would not classify this as a bully romance - think more along the lines of serious pranking that quickly gets surpassed. Wren has such an interesting childhood packed with trauma (which I always love) but she never once let it stop her from growing into a strong woman who goes after what she wants in life! Stone is the epitome of I don’t want her but no one else can have her if you know what I mean 😉
There was suspense, danger, action, spice, romance, obsession, and frustration all weaved into this stand alone book and what really made it top tier for me was the aspect of family created by the guys. They all took wren under their wing and really did what they could to protect her!
I will say there were a few minor details that seemed to get overlooked in the very end of the book but they did not take away from the story at all. Personally had the book had maybe 1-2 chapters more it would have been perfect in my eyes but I cannot deny that I really truly enjoyed this read!
