I feel like Asimov fans like it as part of the lore, but it’s by far not the best scifi out there. I read the naked sun too, but I can’t bear to read more about baleys struggles. The endless scenes in and about toilets - I have had enough for now. 😂

I can't decide what my rating of this is. While
I still loved the science fiction aspects of this book, I was unprepared for how much wierdly sexual content/discussion was going to be in this book. When I put that a side I could see this bring upwards of four stars, but with it it make want to put it at two stars, leaving is somewhere in the middle. I can't see myself recommending this book without qualifying it.

I like the way his mysteries end up but this series is so slow that it felt like it took forever to get through it.

3 stars. This book was generally engaging, and was set in a place where the world-building was rich and detailed. The protagonist developed in convincing ways and his sleuthing was fun to follow. The conclusion really dropped the ball. I didn’t like that all the events in the book were facilitated by a mind-reading robot, which came out of nowhere and was not at all believable.

Susan Calvan is great! I have half a mind to read 'Liar' again. [2003]

If I could, I would probably go 3.5 stars. It seemed a little long and straining because of the length.
