i loved this book, period. this was so much fun and i know i say that a lot in my reviews but it’s always a joy when a book is truly FUN to read. i had to force myself to savor this one over 3 days. i could have easily read this faster, and i would’ve happily read another 100 pages. in fact i think that’s my only complaint: just a little smidge more to flesh out everything at the end a liiiiiittle better. but otherwise, this was an ideal read for me. i know i also always compare books to movies, but this one is no exception. mary shelley club, to me, majorly had the vibes of the 2000 thriller movie “gossip” and i feel like if you know, you know. add like a small dash of cruel intentions and, like, jawbreaker. the mystery also had me guessing till the very end which may be kind of embarrassing for me to admit but i don’t care. i was shook by the ending. love love love, would 10000% read a sequel. so glad i picked this one up on a whim.

If you love YA, mysteries, and scary movies then you MUST read this book. However, if you do the audiobook the narrator's voice of some of the teenagers could be pretty annoying at times. That didn't bother me much past the beginning though especially once it really got to the meat of the story.
