Welcome to Seaside, Oregon where the stars vacation. In this book the town is overflowing with rockstars thanks to the guys doing a rock camp. The drama is thick in this story as Ty and Abagail find each other as they deal with the past. And what a past it was!!!!!!

A summer filled with teaching young children to play guitar seemed like torture enough for rock star Ty, but add in the same 60 days working with the one woman who broke his heart years ago and the torture just got worse. But getting far away from Von Abigail is not in the cards. Will this be the time to right their wrongs and fall back in love? Or will this be the last nail in the coffin of Ty's happiness? Although this book is short it certainly packs a punch. I fell in love with the characters form the opening pages and was very happy with the end results. I think I now need to read the books that started the series.

Abandon is a short, sweet, a tad angsty, second chance romance with a spoonful of friends/enemies to lovers thrown in. This was a part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. Also, this was my first ever read from the author and it is safe to say that I got hooked by the author's beautifully rendered world of Seaside.

Ty and Abigail fell in love hard while they were young and given their age, comes recklessness, indecisions and insecurities that both of them weren't matured enough to handle. So, they fell apart and hatred borne of pain and blinding hurt took over Ty's rockstar life. He tried to forget Abby but helping a friend during a summer camp force them to be together. Will they take this opportunity to settle things and maybe give their love another try? Or was it too little too late?

I loved Ty's wry humour and the incessant, playful bickering with his friends. I love seeing men lifting and helping each other out, and how they acted like family when you needed one. Even to the point of ganging up on Ty to clear things out and maybe, moved on from Abby. Their friendship is so real and I love every second of their camaraderie. Ty and Abby's love story is a perfect example that first love never dies and that every one deserves a chance, if only you have the guts to fight for it. Highly recommends this to those who loves second chance romances.

Ty and Abigail have a love that’s all consuming. 10 years doesn’t dull the flame and passion they have for each other. A steamy, sexy, and cute read.

You don't have to have read the previous books in series.

Second chance romance. 10 years apart.
Setting is a band so naturally the Hero is a manwhore type.
This is said about him...
"since you were busy screwing two girls at the same time while eyeing the groupies."
" You screw anything that walks, refuse to take any of this seriously, and act like you’re still twenty-one!”
Basically they were young, misunderstandings and a lack of communication cause her to break up with him.
They both love each other but hate each other, he expresses this by the above behaviour durung the separation.
The heroine has dated during the separation.
No intimate scenes with anyone other than the Hero and heroine.
Humour with the banter between the band.
HEA.

Ty Cuban tells his story to the reader. He has attitude and you can feel that coming off the page. Abigail Von Leery lets the reader in on her impressions of Ty. By having the reader feel as if they are a part of the story is a great way to turn the story into a page-turner. It keeps us engaged in what's happening.

I'm late to the game. I thought I was keeping up with what the author has in the works and I was floored when I saw how many books in this series I missed out on. What's good about this story is that I didn't feel lost. I did however want to get to know more about the men that work with Ty. Would love to know if the author has any plans to revisit the camp we get to know here. I didn't feel as if things were brought to a close with that.

If you're looking for a story with a rock star and a second chance at what he lost than you need to check this out. There's a lot of emotion here and a rock star that shows us he's a human being who's not perfect and has done some things he's not proud of. If you've never read any of Ms. Van Dyken's books before than why not check out this novella. For some of us summer is winding down, the kids are going back to school and some time has opened up to read a short book - this can fill in some of that time. If you like some heat between the main characters you'll get that here too. Then I would read this book again but I would play some music in the background. I'm left knowing I have a lot of catching up to do - looking forward to it.

I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.

Abandon is a wonderful addition to the Seaside world that Rachel has created. Members of a rock band are growing up and now that they are older they are ready to put aside the drugs, drink and women and settle down to family life. Ty and Abagail had come close 10 years before but her family history hadn't allowed her to beleive that he could be faithful.
Now, together in Seaside, they are thrown together at a Music Camp with other band mates and friends. Can they get over the past to form a new future? This is the best kind of Rachel Van Dyken story - lots of angst with tons of love.
