Cool dual perspective book with the addition of past and present narratives. I personally haven't read a book about a wedding planner and florist before so it felt like a unique premise. There were also some things I didn't expect which was a nice surprise. A nice, casual read with all the best parts of a spicy romance book without being too overdone and repetitive.

What a way to end my reading year. This book was nowhere on my TBR but so many of my friends recommended it, and then it did not disappoint! I absolutely devoured this book and loved every minute of it.

This book has two timelines, present day, and three years ago. We have two POV’s, one being our main character, Ama, who has a wedding planning business and she just scored her most high profile clients. It is the first time on her own. She is working with a large budget and a very public wedding. Our second point of view is Elliot who took over his families flower shop and does flowers for very events. In present, these two are forced to work together on this high profile wedding despite being exes. However, when they work together, they find that there are still some feelings from the past lingering there.

I love a good second chance, romance, and this one had all the Sweeney moments. I was literally laughing out loud multiple times throughout this book. The dialogue and banter between Elliott and Ama is hilarious. These characters felt so real to me and I loved seeing their romance. I sometimes get nervous when the buildup of the romance is in the past and flipping between the past and present sometimes tainted the romance but this author did such a wonderful job, and it is so well balanced that I loved every minute of it.

The only reason it’s not a five star, is because the ending conflict I wanted more angst and drama. I found that the ending was wrapped up a little too quickly, and I would’ve liked to see the characters suffer a little more before they’re happily ever after.

There are spicy scenes in this book, and they are very detailed, and absolutely delicious. Although I could never see myself ever doing it in these characters, it was really fun to live vicariously through them.

Apparently there’s going to be more in the series. Not sure if it’s going to continue to follow Elliot and Ama a different character altogether but I will definitely be picking it up and this is an author I will be reading a lot of books from.

Second chance romance with a dash of angst perfect for 🐀 ( you know who you are)
Ama is an up and coming wedding planner who lands a huge job with a major client, downside is she has to work alongside her ex, Elliot.
Elliot is mean and brooding, Ama is a little delulu with a crazy family. The story is told with dual timelines which I enjoyed so we see current events and jump back to their initial relationship. I loved Ama's drive and determination (even if her judgement was a little off at times) and Elliot's tender side despite his prickly demeanour.
The couple had great chemistry, real issues to overcome and lots of humour amidst the angst.
My only gripe was how long it took Ama to see what a cowbag her old boss was.  Grief lol.

What a fun romance! I’ve learned that I looove a wedding centered romance & this was wonderful since it centered around a wedding planned & florist. While some plot elements were predictable (as common with the genre for me), I still thoroughly enjoyed myself. I love when romances include both POVs of the love interest, and this one was unique in that each character had their own timeline too which was a clever format choice. The audiobook production was wonderful & I’d read more of this author.  Lastly, the 🌶️ was delightful.

Ama is a wedding planner who has just been hired for the biggest wedding of her career. Unfortunately, she has to work with Elliot, a florist, who she had a falling out with and hasn't spoken to in years.

In the present we get Ama's POV. Her mother, and her million marriages, have instilled a fear of marriage and commitment that she struggles to get past. She falls for Elliot, but cannot overcome her insecurities. She is incredibly driven to succeed professionally and has so much passion for her work. I love her relationship with her ex-stepsister.

In the past we get Elliot's POV. I really liked this structure because it helps us get to know him better. In the present, he comes across as grumpy, rude, and brooding. But in the flashbacks we learn that he falls hard and fast for Ama. She is his soft spot. He wants nothing more than to build a life with her. That tattoo...OMG! Elliot is steadfast and so supportive of Ama.

I really loved these two together and
I am really glad that this book didn't end with a wedding. That would have been way out of character for Ama.

I would have liked the book to delve a bit deeper into the characters. I felt a lot of the character develop was a bit surface level.

Really charming, very cute. Really excellent pacing and use of the back and forth format on a technical level. I get like mayyybee the characters could have used a smidge more fleshing out but it’s overall quite lovely.
