Very different from any other book I’ve read. The plot was really good and the characters were sweet. I liked that there were different fairytales within the story. Made me cry which a book hasn’t for a while 🥹🥹🥹

It was not Grim and Rosie's relationship that made me so hooked, even though they got me kicking my feet and giggling at how cute they are. It was Aunt Maeve and Rosie's relationship that fully got my attention, specifically because of that one tale where her aunt still loved her despite what she found out *trying to not spoil things for future readers hehe*. I was bawling by the end of that chapter because these two love each other so much and I think there is nothing more precious than that.
For Grim and Serena, MYGOD THESE TWO ARE ADORABLE!!! They had me verbally go "awwwww" when they do small small things together or for each other, like cooking food or brewing tea for the other. They are just so wholesome I'm actually envious

I really enjoyed the whimsy of this book. It was definitely a unique take on a fairytale retelling and it was refreshing in that aspect. The main characters were all very likable and you could understand their motivations in the story. I found the villain to be a little meh, and I wish we had gotten more of his backstory. I know there is going to be a sequel, and I am looking forward to new adventures in this world.
