I adored the Oliveras story. I loved the characters, plot, and romance. The mistletoe parts were cute and I thought the love story played out great for such a short story.

I also liked the Love in Spanglish story. I really liked that it gave representation to the Latinx out there that do not speak as much Spanish as their parents. I love how they managed to communicate with a mixture of Spanish, English, and kisses to understand each other.

Truthfully the rest of the stories were way outside my normal reading, but it was a good opportunity to read a little from some new authors.

Damn Near Perfect.
A book of short stories. An anthology of love stories centered on one Nochebuena party. Nine different love stories to fall for and root for.
The majority of these stories are 🥵🥵🥵🥵. It gets sexy.
I love the diversity of the stories: not just racially or around nationality, but also the nature of the romances as well.
There are queer romances (that get quite sexy) and there are various examples of polyamory.
I think some stories could have been slightly better, whether in length or depth. Some of them were weird about language as well.
I was like 80% through the book when I realized that the situations follow Love Actually very closely-- some slight chances.
Honestly, I enjoyed all of the stories and had so much fun reading them (some more than others). All around a good, steamy, romantic, loving time.
Also all of the stories are dripping in culture and I LOVE and appreciate that.

I read this via amazon kindle before I purchased the paperback but I loved the blending of Latin stories surrounded by the holidays. A few of the stories are centered around lgtbq couples and some are quiet steamy 🔥 (which surprised me but it was a pleasant one lol) I do low key wish there had been more holiday infusion (Jewish Latinx or Muslim for example) In addition, some of the stories I also wish had been a tad longer but a great Latinx holiday rec overall!
