This short easy reader book includes positive multigenerational Black family representation and, in particular, would be of interest for elementary students in the greater Washington, DC area. It features the family riding the Metro to the National Museum of African American History. Recommended for elementary library collections.

cute! Unfortunately, the museum portion is only a small part pf the story. Also, I’m a little disappointed by the gender stereotypes. the mom loves kitchen artifacts? the boy likes sports?

Perfect book for emerging readers.

Nice exploration of the new museum with their visiting grandma.

Note: I received a copy of this book from the publisher at ALA Annual 2019.

Focus is on a visit to the National Museum of African American History and Culture. I didn't even know about this museum until I read this book.
