I like the vibes, but I think, that the ending was a bit rush. Like "do you remember this thing that talked about randomly 2 times? It's an important thing for the last 50 pages" but overall I like it and I enjoyed *spoilers ahead* that Marlinchen didn't forgiv Rose, and all (almost all) the abuser in the book died.*end of the spoilers* so yeah the ending is fine but the rest of the book was very enjoyable.

This book is phenomenal, and does an amazing job of talking about abuse in the harsh ugly way it deserves. This book was emotional and enchanting. I cant wait to read more of Ava's work.

Incredibly dark fantasy. I would recommend reading the content tags before starting this one.

Not at all where I thought the story was going to go. I'm glad I gave it a try but I don't think it's a book for me. I can't see myself re-reading this one in the future.

All the antagonists felt over the top cruel. Only one character was kind towards our main character without horrible intentions. The totality of cruelty took me out of the story. Then after all that messed up shit, the ending is tied neatly in a bow. Even months after reading, that's the main thing that stuck with me.

Obsessing, cruel and dark…and also magical and romantic ! I really liked it, I absolutely love the writing style of Ava Reid. This was a challenging read though because it was so dark.
