Something tells me I would have eaten this up when I was 13.

this collection was fairly good, save for the fact that many of the poems felt like a rough draft. they felt unfinished, or just like an idea.

Mackenzie Campbell is an excellent poet who shows the world her heart on her sleeve in this book. We are given the turbulent ride of heartbreak from understanding to healing in the span of one night. Vulnerability and anguish are seen in this poetry.

Ahhhh I do love poetry! This is exactly what I needed to read after a long, chaotic week. It is so important to take a break and this is where I go to do just that.

“I indulge myself in a book because diving headfirst into another fantasy is so much more peaceful than living in this reality.”

Amen to that.

I’ll probably come back to this the next time I experience heartbreak, but it didn’t really hit me the way it would’ve had I read it at the right time.

Yeah no. I still don’t like poetry. I gave it a go to “expand my horizons”, but nope.

Heartbreaking, but bad
