I liked the concept of this book, but the some of the poems are repetitive and not much stood out to me. Overall, a short easy poetry collection.

This has a neat premise, but the actual content seems generic.

This one didn't resonate with me as much as I hoped. While the author's words aren't bad, I felt like much of what she said I had already heard before and even within the book she was saying the same thing over and over again. The book felt long as I kept thinking "didn't she ready say this?" The poems seemed to have no natural flow. Most volumes like this have a simple outline of "love" "lost" "reflection." This was simply a muddles mess of mostly lost and randomly love and not in a way that made sense. Maybe that was the point but honestly it was just confusing and jarring to follow...
Some of the poems felt like they were trying to be poetic but I wasn't quite sure what it meant (such as "you are the sand that doesn't stick when I am dry and sad"). And some were straight up just her explaining something so it felt like a textbook or Instagram post rather than a poem.
(And I was displeased with the author taking shots at the girl she was left for when there was no indication the girl had done anything wrong. Just because you were left doesn't make you the galaxy and her merely a star. I would have preferred being brought into any history if there was any, rather than one girl simply taking shots at another because of the actions of a boy. Place blame where it belongs, no more if this girls pitting themselves against each other over a boy. Yes, this complaint is probably longer than the actual poem but it bothered me)
It wasn't a bad book and I'm sure it will resonate with others. It simple didn't resonate with me...
