It didn't quite reach the heights of the first volume because the supernatural part of it became a bit more prominent in this volume (and I find all of that silly). It still has a great deal to say, even if that lens warps it a bit for me, and I love the notion that nothing more spectacularly failed to live up to its promise more than punk. The Replacements would be proud of that and how they failed so spectacularly. The art is among the best I've seen in comics in the last 30 years, a combination of Ralph Steadman and Bill Sienkiewicz.
