After “My Fault”, I was really looking forward to the second part of the “Culpables” series - and unfortunately, I was disappointed. I found it difficult to motivate myself to read, as I had the feeling that there was no real plot at all. Somehow it was just one topic after another without really moving the story forward. It only got more exciting at the end and for the first time I was actually happy about a cliffhanger, as I probably wouldn't pick up the third part without it.
I wasn't as convinced by the characters this time either, as I couldn't understand some of their actions and the relationship between Noah and Nick was unfortunately far too toxic for me and was then presented too uncritically.
Personally, I found the writing style good and I don't want to put the book down too badly in general, but I was simply hoping for more after “My Fault”.

Nach „My Fault“ habe ich mich sehr auf den zweiten Teil der „Culpables“-Reihe gefreut - und wurde leider enttäuscht. Ich hatte Schwierigkeiten, mich zum Lesen zu motivieren, da ich das Gefühl hatte, dass es überhaupt gar keinen richtigen Plot gab. Den grundsätzlichen Schreibstil fand ich persönlich gut und möchte auch das Buch im Allgemeinen nicht zu schlecht darstellen, jedoch habe ich mir nach „My Fault“ einfach mehr erhofft.

Why does every second installment of a romance series involve the guy getting really close with a woman which tries the girl to think he is cheating so bad she actually cheats? It's so tired. I've seen it done so many times be creative please

It's ok compared to the first book - loved the first one. I watched the movie before I read the 2nd book and honestly, I'm disappointed. The movie took scenes and just changed everything about it and adding/taking away characters, compared to the books.
It's why I don't usually like movies that are made from books.
I'll read book 3 since I already brought it, but I hope it improves
