Dearest Gentle Reader, this book wasn’t what I was expecting. While it did bring to life the characters and their stories, I feel as though it fell rather flat compared to the show. I did enjoy the epilogues and the audiobook was narrated rather nicely, I don’t think I will be continuing this book series as of now. It was entertaining just not really worth it to me, perhaps I’ll revisit this series later though.

A quick entertainment
I came to this after watching the Netflix Bridgerton adaptation aaaaand I think this is one of the cases where the adaptation improves on the source material. Could be due to the fact that all books are out so they can draw on future plots but also the casting choices were inspired (man I feel like I'm never not talking about Wheel of Time...) The show is soapy, but that's not surprising given the source! I was entertained but there wasn't anything particularly compelling (love scenes are alright).
Daphne's betrayal of Simon's trust is more egregious here, and I'm not really convinced on how they smoothed over their difference of opinion.
