I would probably rate this a 4.5 since I immediately downloaded book 2. It is similar to the Outlander series in that it's a well researched historical fiction story with a mix of romance. The book is beautifully written, and you'll want to be reading when you can't.

Snooze fest. A LOOOOONG snooze.

FMC was boring and not really redeemable. The love story was just meh. Overall it was lackluster and I love a good historical fiction book, so I do not recommend.

Looove this series. Wish I could find a "Daniel" :) Sara Donati is a great author with style. I have read many of her books and enjoyed every one.

First book in a completely captivating series. Fantastic historical fiction.

A delicious read.

Rockin'! I've forgotten how fun it is to get pulled into a really LONG book.

Narrativa pontuada por referências sutis a outros textos, muito interessante. Prendeu-me do começo ao fim.

I enjoyed this book a lot, but I don't think I can read the next one right now.

based in the Lake George, NY area- a romeo and juliet kind of love story between a man brought up by the natives and an english immigrant
