cute read. not as in depth and entrancing as 'frankie landau banks...' moral to the story... a little too nicely wrapped up for me.

I first read this book as a young teenager and at the time I think I thought it was absolutely wild. Rereading it today was so interesting, obviously I’m too old for it now but I loved the completely different perspective I had now, and I honestly think I liked it more this time. It’s so much fun to experience my childhood again, I love rereading books like this. Really could have gone without the extensive use of slurs, but I truly think this partially taught me some important lessons as a kid, in a time when gayness was constantly being used as an insult. I’d say this is probably 3.5 stars.

Read this as an audiobook, it was a REALLY good four hour listen.

This book was extremely creative. Even if it was a bit uncomfortably-graphic in some chapters. I thought every description was done neatly, and I really enjoyed reading it. The only regret I have was, reading it so quick and not savoring it more!

Gotta love a one day read.

Fun and easy and basically what I expected. The female, fluffier version of The Metamorphosis, as told by a teenaged girl. A literal fly on the wall of the boy's bathroom.

My only real complaint about the book is the fucking euphemisms. Gherkins and biscuits. I mean REALLY.
