Oh my god.
What a wild ride.
I love love love the message of this book, that we're all just people, even though we look like intimidating aliens and all that jazz.
I also like weird books like this.
The ending kind of disappointed me a little bit. I don't really need a soppy, happy ending but each to their own, I guess.

I liked fly on the wall. I thought that it was a great idea, great characters and I love the way that e. Lockhart writes. The ending was amazing too.

I only gave this book three stars because of the section where she actually was a fly; I wasn't the biggest fan. The rather graphic descriptions of boys isn't my cup of tea. However, I loved the parts about her parents divorcing and the parts at school.

Overall, 3.75 stars, and I do still recommend it but it isn't necessarily for everyone.

The beginning was weird because the main character way over-analyzed things, and the middle was too long and dragged for a while, and the whole subject matter was weird (a girl turns into a fly? Ew, weird)… But things ended well, and characters turned out to have real depth, and Lockhart made an important point about not judging people, and about not discriminating against gay people, of all things, and I ended up liking it.

This is such a quirky book. It's incredibly short, it's meant to be taken as a light, short story.

You're following Gretchen, a girl who doesn't have a lot of confidence or luck with boys. One day she wishes she could become a fly on the wall in the boys locker room to see what boys are like, it comes true.

This book is funny and really light hearted. It's a really nice read, especially when you're in a reading slump or just looking for something to break up two larger books or more serious books.

There are parts of this I disliked, it was quite repetitive at points and some of thr characters were a little contradicting. But apart from that, it was an enjoyable short read.

I have some more work from this author, the next on my list is "we were liars". It will be interesting to see what qualities of her writing she transmits through to other books.

I actually really loved this. I know that the general consensus is that this isn't one of Lockhart's strongest, and maybe it's because I don't have anything to compare it to, but I thought it was great. The gherkin/biscuit thing irritated me, but whatever, teenagers are weird and I got over it.

OH. But minus half a star (still rounding up) for the non-resolution of the Xavier/Carlos/Guenther story. Boo.
