I love the music from the musical, so I was excited to read the story. Honestly it was a pretty good story. Felt very much trapped to see what would happen, and how Hansen would deal with it.

Dear Evan Hansen is a phenomenally sad story.  DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU ENJOY CRYING! As a fan of the musical the book was an excellent addition to my love of the story.

This book should be required reading for High school - for both parents and teens. It is heartbreakingly brilliant.
