Time travel historical romance with a dog who opens the portal. Gillian Metcalf was aboard the Queen Mary staying in a haunted room when a strange dog appeared. Next thing she knows she is waking up on the floor aboard the Ida Bell riverboat in the cabin of a handsome man. She discovers she is in 1870 and they must marry to save their reputations. The characters are wonderful and the storyline engaging. The fact that the time travel is 2 way makes this very interesting. The story dragged on a bit but it gave the author a chance to weave more detail and history into the story. There are some sex scenes for those who care. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and want to read more of this author’s work.
I might be a bit bias when it comes to this review because Karen is my mom. I grew up reading her books and loving the characters. I've read different and unedited versions of most of her stories. Creighton Manor is my favorite of them all, Zachary and Gillian have a special place in my heart.
