4 stars - It was really good

This volume was just as action packed as the previous one. Sukuna fights Jogo, destroying a lot of the city and killing him. He then fights the Right-Handed Sword Divergent Sila Divine General Mahoraga that Fushiguo had summoned and expected to kill him in a last ditch effort to kill Shigmo. This was a fascinating battle and it was interesting seeing Sukuna fight to protect someone.  I love that we are finally getting to see how dangerous Sukuna is and why he is feared so much by other curses and the jujutsu sorcerers.

After Sukuna releases the body back to Yuji we see him return to the subway system and come across Mahito and Nanami. Sadly, Nanami who had been badly burned and injured by Jogo, has been touched by Mahito and tells Yuji he’s got it from here before dying. Nanami’s death was so sad and even though I had watched the anime and knew it was going to happen, it was a lot sadder in the manga because he really just was so tired and just wanted to be on the beach. I wish he had gotten that chance.

Sadly, this volume continued to be an emotional one with Itadori and Mahito fighting and Mahito luring Nobara into the fight with a clone. The volume ends with the real Mahito touching her, which we know is a death sentence so the hits just keep coming and Itadori is at his breaking point. Mahito has been a formidable foe and seeing him decimate the jujutusu sorcerers has been heartbreaking. I really can’t wait to see how he is taken down.
