A great book with writing so good it makes you dislike the characters at a point. I think the ending was rushed and more went into the beginning of the story when I prefer the other way around.

I picked this book up on a whim looking for some lighthearted romance and this book really pulled through as something fantastic. Parts of it has me super on edge as I was so invested in the characters.

I really liked the pacing of this book. Set over one year, each month is introduced with a social media post, which i liked. Each month may only be a few chapters but it felt enough, i never wanted much more each month.

I loved the character of Aidan. And loved that Izzy was surrounded by family and close friends and colleagues  she got on with well.

I read another review saying this book was like a netflix rom-com and I totally agree. There were a few scenes where i wished it was a film so i could fully see what was happening.

I didn't expect their to be a grief storyline in this book but it was introduced right at the beginning of the book. I think it was good that it showed Izzy's grief as a sibling, how her parents deal with theirs and Becca's, his long-term girlfriend and fiancĂ©. Grief effects everyone differently and i am glad this was highlighted.

I liked that there was a big focus on the fact that what we see on social media isn't totally real. With the book focussing on a fake relationship and even little things like pretending her friends expensive shoes are hers 'for the gram'. So many people follow influencers with perfect and polished lives and think they are living the dream when in reality its the opposite.

I really like this quote from page 194: "I've spent the last year and a half becoming me again and its great, and I don't want to change who I am".

Overall, We Just Clicked was an enjoyable read and I would recommend it.
