This book was creepy AF. It was definitely a page-turner and I was interested to see how it ended, but I didn't love some of the choices. I hated how every female character was described by their looks, their weight. One young girl was referred to a "piggy," a woman as having “hips like antlers," all others as either beautiful or not. Women are either villains or victims. Almost every female was hypersexualized. That got old. Too many instances to count where her writing of woman was misogynistic. The ending was rushed and the mystery is revealed through the epilogue as Camille recollects the events in like two pages instead of it being revealed actively through the story. That was annoying.

Dark and twisted just like I expected. It started off slow, but picked up by the end. I didn't expect the plot twist at the end. I thought I was being smart when I thought it was the mother about half way through… turns out I was wrong and it was the sister. It's terrifying that a 13 year old could be capable of that. I really enjoyed this book (I liked Dark Places better and I think if I had read this book before Dark Places I probably would have given this 5 stars).

This was such a disturbing, weird book. I finally picked it up after three times and decided to read it in a night.

Wow...this is a very dark book. I listened to it on audible.com, and having it told to me made it seem so much more graphic and shocking. A twisted story filled with darkness.
