Okay I KNOW this book gets A LOT of hate and let me just start by saying - I get why! It’s cringey, and clunky and feels way too freaking long BUT I’m also a mood reader and I’m here for vibes. So with that said, I still absolutely loved it lmao

Kingfisher gives sad boy Draco vibes and that is simply a clear path straight to my heart so yeah, I’m jumping on the Kingfisher bandwagon and I’m not ashamed

The hype for this book did NOT disappoint! I listened to it in 4 days. I didn’t want to stop listening to it. The story was perfection. Kept me interested the entire way! The love story and spice were perfect, and I loved all of the characters. The narrators did a great job bringing them to life. I’m so sad that I’ll have to wait for the next book. I can’t wait to see what happens next!

Oh man where to start. While the overall story was somewhat interesting (but not original), it really was hard to finish. It’s as if the author read a bunch of fantasy books and threw in every cliche, trope, and type of character possible, just in case there wasn’t enough. The writing was messy overall and the FMC was intolerable. I found myself cringing regularly, thinking “This must’ve been written by a 16 year old.” I wish I just let myself stop when I wanted to.

Didn't really get invested until about 60% through. Not sure I liked the main characters that much. Too many basic plot points and tropes extremely similar to other books in the genre. Found a lot of the world and plot confusing and not explained well. But overall entertaining
