I really enjoyed this read. It started off with a bang straight away -you were thrown in the deepend of danger and intrigue which I really enjoyed. The book is full of secrets, mystery and bit by bit reveals of the story which kept me absorbed and drawn in. I thought the fae creatures and magic system were unique and interesting.

I think some of the middle felt a bit disjointed and slow but it picked up again and I loved the ending- gripping & engaging enough that you really want to read on but without an awful cliffhanger.

I love me a broody, misunderstood shadow daddy and Fisher did not disappoint.
I appreciated the sarcasm and sense of humor of our FMC and how capable she was. I ate up the way they both had no filter and baited each other with shameless flirting and vuglar jokes. I would have enjoyed some double POV to show his thoughts and feelings a bit more- I think I would have been more invested in them had I seen both sides. The spice was spicing

This had so much potential but was so poorly written? It feels like the author just tried to pick up every fantasy trope to stuff in the book, but didn’t fully execute on any of them. The side characters are more compelling than the main characters and the enemies to lovers falls super flat.

I lost a lot of interest from when she entered the Fae Realm damn it really clawed it's way back. I got so invested in the story and the world and of course the romance.
