I didn't like the anime and hoped that perhaps if I continue reading where I stopped watching the anime, that I might find it more enjoyable (I actually stopped in season 4 and not 3, but I decided to read a bit sooner to get the connection of it again and to remember the story again as it is a few years back now that I watched the anime).

At first I thought I started to dislike it 'cause of the complexity, but I understood everything. Probably I started to dislike it as the plot changed and more plottwists came, and the story and genre led to somewhere I didn't find interesting any longer. For example, there were some scenes that were disgusting and/or sexual suggestive like when Eren had a certain thing in his mouth in volume 15-17. It became disgusting and I disliked a lot of characters from the start, even some most people liked, and the further the story got the more characters got introduced, the more I disliked it.

Others might find it enjoyable, the majority does and the character development and plot is interesting. Even though I didn't like it myself, I might actually recommend it to someone who I know will like it.

All hail Historia, the cattle-farming goddess! This volume of AoT made a serious amount of progress cutting through various plot points and tying up the Reiss arc. I am enjoying how the series is exploring various aspects of titan biology as well as the inner wall politics that Historia is now a big part of. Also, it was nice to see Eren finally not only acknowledge that he has been childish and selfish, but that he needs to push past it into a new form of maturity - and so he does. It will be interesting to see the confrontation with Shadis in the next volume (coming out this April!).
