I can't get enough of this book. I just want more it's too good. I really liked reading about Beth and Dawson. I liked how ironic Shadows was because of Daemon, who said he'd never get involved with a human.

That was perfect and stunning and wonderful and everything I could ever hope for from the conclusion of one of my favorite series of ALL TIME. It left me really REALLY happy and relieved that all the wonderful characters i had grown to love got the ending they deserved.
There were a few tears AND a few heart wrenching movements but at the end of the day it was a solid happy ending.

The only thing a bit off about this book was that the main plotline of opposition began only at the end of origin. But even that was executed perfectly.
I could never ever recommend this series enough

I understand the book's desperate need to tie everything up with a neat little bow, but to harp on and on about how threatening the new Luxen were and how difficult they were going to be to beat, only to prove that this is in no way true was some dumb shit. To have the big bad leader be someone Katy and company knew previously just goes to show how little was at stake. Another indicator that no one was going to die is that everyone was paired off with a love interest, and all the single people were killed in the previous book. Just because the author made a big show and tell of how Katy and Daemon's lives weren't actually tied together didn't for one second make me believe either would die.

This last book was just so pointlessly drawn out with needless drama. The Arum stuff, Dee's loyalty, Nancy fucking Husher. It all could've been cut down on, or cut out entirely in the latter two's case. I'm just disappointed I wasted this amount of time reading a book series with such a bloated word count. I never skim read, and yet I found myself skimming most of the (incredibly frequent) sex/make out sessions between Katy and Daemon. They were dull and added absolutely nothing to the story.

The first two books could've been rolled into one book with all the extraneous bullshit cut out, and the same with the next two, and then the author could've put an ounce of fucking effort in to this book and it could've been a trilogy. Doesn't that sound nicer?

An aside: Was Hunter and Serena's backstory/current story so vague because the author planned to write a spin-off series about them or something? All of the Arum seemed to hint that their story wasn't told, between the couple, the one evil triplet in Sin, and big gay Lotho. No one needs that book to be written though, because the author has written enough fucking spin-off's from this book, just based on the main characters. Shadows and Oblivion really did not need to exist.

Also this: "She's one of the first female Origins ever." About the baby. Um, are we forgetting Sadi, a female Origin who was literally introduced in this book? Such bullshit. This book seemed to be less well edited than the previous book in the series and the terrible slang made a resurgence. 'FML', 'That shit is banging', 'totes' and 'Rawr' all appeared in this trash book, and for some reason the author started using the word 'wee' in abundance. In a big emotional moment near the end, this was said: "What else would I've done?" Sigh.

This was the perfect ending to this series. I honestly have no complaints. The character development really came to a T in this finale and I’m so happy to have finally read that Daemon just lets Kat be her badass self. Parts of this book broke me for sure but I will remember this series for a long time. Still upset I didn’t know about it when it first came out but also very very glad I didnt have to wait for any of the books.
