SIGNIFICANT improvement over book 1. Still some cheesy moments but not as physically painful as the first book. Charles cracks me up.

I received Braving the Elements in return for an honest review as part of the tour hosted by AToMR Promotions. After learning that she’s not just human and her life may be in danger wherever she goes Sasha has no choice but to stay at the mansion and learn how to control the elements or she could be a risk to herself and others. Her relationship with Jared is over he’s moved away to start a normal life leaving her behind to live her own life. Sasha knows that deep down she’s drawn to Stefen but he’s fated for another so she knows that there will never be anything with them. When he is forced to give her blood to save her life no once but twice they form a connection allowing each other to sense how they feel.

Sasha must learn to control the elements she has the ability to use the black color which is the most powerful and strongest magic. So she has a lot of potential to be great she just needs the training which is hard because she hasn’t been raised around the elements like the other students. When Stefen sends her to a charms class taught by the women who wants to be his mate things go wrong but not just for Sasha her bodyguard Charles also has to learn the charms. Will Sasha ever figure it out? Will her and Stefen ever have anything more than just a connection?

I love Sasha even more in this book she’s learning to deal with being in a new world but she’s not letting her struggles take her down. She’s learning from her mistakes and finding her place in Stefen’s world, even if she does make a few enemies’ she’s also making friends. My heart goes out for Charles he’s not a bad guy just not the right guy for Sasha but he’s still willing to risk it all to protect her. As for Stefen he’s so yummy I’m glad he and Sasha are figuring it out.

To be honest the first book was a little shell shocking. So I was a bit hesitant to start the second book but I wanted to see how it would play out between the characters. After all I really like Sasha she’s the kind of character I can connect with and I just can’t seem to get enough of her world. The author has taken the vampire concept but put her own unique spin creating a new race of humans that I just can’t seem to get enough of. I honestly started this book and finished it within a few hours it was hard to put down, the whole story grabs you right from the start packed with emotions, action, magic, romance and even a little mystery. While the first one was loaded with sex this one is packed full of story with only a few steamy scenes. I think the author has done a fantastic job weaving a story that captures the imagination as well as the heart. I can’t wait to start the third book which I have sitting right here ready to go.

Gaaah! I flove this series.

This book like the first one was action packed!
In this one we get a few answers and of course more questions.
Ugh! I loathe Darla.
Love, LOVE the blossoming relationship between Stefan and Sasha.

Of course Charles is there to brighten everything up with his crazy antics.
(He's my favorite)

Definitely not one of my favorite K.F. Breene series. I only decided to read them because Audible had all four of them available for 1 credit. I didn’t read any reviews or any summary about them, I just went in blindly and listened to 18 1/2 hours worth of these audiobooks the past 4-5 days. The storyline was kind of everywhere and very fast paced. I feel like it could’ve been extended to a 5-6 book series if more detail was added and the important scenes lasting more than 1-2 chapters. Whenever any action part happened, it would last for literally 1 chapter, them fighting the bad guys, the main character being saved and then moving onto their next mission. There was not really any attention to detail and the series definitely ended with me asking a ton of unanswered questions.

I love this, the slow build and just how flat courageous Sasha is.
