Well, it was an interesting book. Mostly because I liked Blaire, she definitely knows who she is and what she deserves. I finally saw Rush picking Blaire over Nat (in the end, of course, cause a little drama with Nan never hurt nobody

As sweet ending I saw coming

Surely this book was a cherry on top, but I was fine with the second book being the last one also. It seemed to go off well. I did enjoy this bit the same as others. I couls feel the emotions pouring off the pages. Enjoyed it none the less. She is a magician with words I admire. Every Girls needs some heart throbbing romance book once a while.

EDIT: 2/6/14

I was browsing my old reviews and found that I gave this one three stars. Why o why? Stupid ole me.

-----------------------------

Warning: This review is not spoiler-free. And also the three star rating is kind of like a parting gift to the whole series.

I don't really know how to put into words my thoughts for this book. I was neither discontented nor very much satisfied with how things had turned out. Nothing much really happened. There were no surprises, not much thrills-- save the ones from all the amazing sex-- so I was a little bit disappointed.

To synopsize, here's what happened: Dean Finlay visits his son because apparently, Nan is back with a vengeance. (Oh yeah, the girl managed to be back, fully bitchified after her not so short stint in the hospital from the accident.) He met Blaire. Adored Blaire. And Blaire, being the ever-so-generous and kind and loving and all the other adjectives thrown to her, told Rush that they should go help out with the Nan drama.

And it all went downhill from there.

As usual, Rush always chooses his sister first. Blaire couldn't take it anymore. She left Rush and went with her father. Rush got into his senses and followed Blaire. She forgave him. They made-up, which could only mean one thing-- MAKE-UP SEX!!!!

They planned their wedding. Got married. Then had the baby. The end.

(Oh, there's also a new character and a possible new love interest for Grant for the spin-off book based off him. I loved Harlow. She's a keeper!)

BEWARE OF THE RANTS:

I did not feel that it was necessary to include to the story some new characters like this girl named Della, who is Wood's girlfriend. Another psychotic bitch, Angelina, whom I assume was meant to be like Nan 2.0. Honestly, I think it was nice that we did get a glimpse of how the spin-off book based on Grant will go. I didn't really mind Grant's and Harlow's POVs being included in the story. What I didn't think was necessary was how Abbi Glines made some kind of 2.0 versions of the Blaire-Rush-Nan story by putting the Della-Woods-Angelina predicament by the end of the book. I mean, hello? This was supposed to be Blaire and Rush's happy ending, right? No need to add characters who will not even spice out the story but will just annoy the hell out of the readers. It sure did annoy the hell out of me!

On the other side..

I'm sad to let Blaire and Rush's love story go but I'm glad they finally had their happy ending. Abbi Glines sure did an awesome job in writing a story in which anyone, no matter how fucked up they think their life is, is still very much deserving and worthy of love. No one should ever be deprived of receiving and giving love, is what I learned from this story. It didn't really matter that there were some flaws in this book. What I think is much more important, is the message one book sends to the readers. So, thank you, Glines.

I absolutely loved the way Abbi Glines wrapped up the ending to Rush and Blair's story. I know we will be hearing more about them since all the characters are so intertwined. I loved how we got to see Blair and her Dad build a relationship again and I love how Blair seemed to bring Rush closer with his father Dean. Great book to end a great series on these two characters. Bring on more Woods and Della!

SWOON! This book was so freaking cute. I loved the chapters we got from Grant and Harlow, but I have to admit that Blaire, Rush and Nate were just....everything!

Talk about drama, drama and more drama.

I think we can all say that Nan is the biggest fucking bitch on the planet. Why anyone still puts up with her shit is beyond me. Why I didn't give it a full 5 stars? Well obviously because of Nan for one. She didn't need so much "stage time" for the bittersweet ending of Rush and Blair. Secondly, I thought it was a little weird to read from not only Grant's POV but also from Wood's. We know they have their own story so I just didn't really like the fact they also took up Rush and Blair's final book.

In the end though, Rush and Blair did get their happily ever after and they are now added to my "favourite couples" list.

:)

Check out my Too Far trilogy series review here: https://freadomlibrary.wordpress.com/2015/12/14/series-review-too-far-trilogy-by-abbi-glines/

Critically
Plot – 4 out of 5 stars
Finally this series got itself together! It has a little bit of drama and a little bit of angst, but not as much as the first two books, thank God. It’s a lot more focused on love and it introduces a lot of things for the next books in the Rosemary Beach series.

Writing Style – 3.5 out of 5 stars
I’m repeating myself but who cares? Simple, verbose. We get some new POV’s in this one and you can tell the distinction between characters. It’s also a bit more mature and developed than in the first two books which is great.

Characters – 4 out of 5 stars
Blaire: I am so happy with her development. She’s strong, powerful, determined, confident, open and honest. Everything I needed her to be since the beginning, she finally did it!
Rush: He got better. Still annoying and indecisive but he’s strong, protective, loving and sadly, very overwhelmed by what’s going on in his life.

Emotionally
SpoilerConsidering how much I loved Abbi’s Sea Breeze series, I can say I was a bit disappointed with this series.

The third book is where it’s at for me. I finally got a nice healthy dosage of angst that I wanted. Not too much but just enough to keep things interesting. But even though I think this is the best book in the trilogy, I feel like it wasn’t necessary. The second book could’ve been obliterated and the third book would be second and it would’ve been a nice duology. And I think that way because the plot of this book kind of tries to wrap everything up even though it is a little weird. Our little couple is happy and in love and cumbaya and everything but outside forces are trying to tear them apart which has been one of the themes throughout the whole series. This one revolves around Rush having to pick between Blaire and his sister Nan. Again has been happening in the whole series but it comes to a head in this one. And it got so crazy that it felt like one of those fake reality shows, there was so much unnecessary drama but this time it was around our main characters and not about them, which I guess is why it didn’t bother me as much as in the first two books. Blaire’s growth is great. We finally get to see her be an adult and make smart and kind decisions about her life and the people she wants in that life. She got to reconnect with her Dad and salvage her relationship with him which I really appreciated and loved. Rush still annoyed me at times but I’m starting to think that’s just my reaction to his personality. Just like in the first book, these other two books were just as addicting, again kind of like a reality tv show, which is probably why I ended up finishing them and why I’m most likely going to continue on and finish the Rosemary Beach series.

Was thrilled with the progress being made in Rush and Blaire's relationship (and no - I'm not giving up hope that we continue their journey... I cannot give them up! LOL) though I really, really hope Nan disappears from their lives, even Grant's. I seriously cannot stand the brat - something has to be wrong with her mentally, not just emotionally because she is just WAY too immature and not sensible in her language and thinking - both seem to be on a 2-year-old's maturity level. Does that make sense? LOL

But, truly - I love this series, Rush & Blaire as individuals as well as a couple and, though Nan makes me wanna become homicidal at times (and, when not homicidal, she makes me want to simply kick some arse, really hard...), I flove the whole storyline! I cannot wait for more - pretty please release the next book REALLY soon! :-)

PS: Grant & Harlow? Yes, please, please, PLEASE!!! Nan can disappear forever - & no tears from me or anyone, Rush included LOL - I'm so Team Gralow! =D
