Just okay

This book was okay. It was well written, but it didn't give me the feels unusually looking for in a book like this. I wanted a lot more

2.5*!! Dnf @ 68%. I was extremely excited to read this, as I'd enjoyed a previous book of Victoria's, however this fell flat. The beginning was questionable to me as is, but I pushed through and God, do I regret it. Alex was extremely unlikeable and Natalie deserved better.

I cant believe I have had this book on my kindle since February 2019 and not read it, shame on me! I have read all of the newer books Vicki has written, this series will complete all of her amazing books.

wow what a heart wrenching story, one minute I was team Marcus, then the next team Alex, but the only team to be on was team Natalie.

You go through life having boyfriends, lovers, but you only get one soulmate and that was what Alex was to Nat, he was there when her sister died, he was there to make her feel again and and then let her go, the pain and the heartache was overwhelming it forced her to believe that she loved someone that she didn't, although she loved Marcus she wasn't in love with him, that kind of love was for her first and only love, the one that was back in her life and confused her even more.

I loved this book it brought out so many emotions and cant wait to dive into the next.

"Maybe we were meant to find each other in the darkness, in the blurry tunnels of existence because we were, in fact, each other’s light."

Vicki James knows how to bring the feels. In fact, Natexus conjures so many different feelings, your heart will be begging for a reprieve from all the emotional distress by the end.

This is a book about coping with loss, loving someone you shouldn't, and finding strength in the most difficult situations. While it is a bit long, James still manages to write a story that holds your attention from start to finish. And despite this being one of her earlier books---and she continues to perfect her craft with each book she publishes---Natexus showcases James' signature warmth and tenderness that she bestows upon each of her characters, causing you to fall in love with each and every one of them.
