I don’t know that this book feels particularly like a mystery or thriller. It was a story I didn’t feel like I’d read exactly before, a fun take on an extremely parasocial and obsessive relationship. I simultaneously felt incredibly sorry for the narrator for the clear mistreatment by her husband and her apparently lack of a real community to support her in any trouble but also she was a little crazy. The author did a good job of making her descent slow and foreshadowed wells

I give this book 2 stars because it's a page turner, but outside of that it wouldn't get any stars. The main character is a narcissistic psychopath with no redeeming qualities. I really hoped by the end of the book something good would happen, but it didn't.

This whole book was a snowball effect and the chapterless format gave it even more of a frenzied feel.

Finally really started reading today.  While this is likely a propulsive tour-de-force, I am made uneasy by the gradual breakdown of the deeply unhappy, mentally ill narrator.  Skipped to the end to confirm this.
