I was unfortunately really underwhelmed by this book. I knew nothing about the plot going in (except that they have sex on the subway, which didn’t make any sense until I read the book), but found that I predicted every plot twist well before it happened. I also just didn’t connect to August. How does one graduate with an alleged good GPA without ever seeming to go to class, exams or do assignments? How is she so surprised that she’s graduating soon? How can she afford rent in Brooklyn when she seems to skip work every five minutes?

I’m glad I read it, but likely won’t pick it up again or read the other author’s works based just on my like of their debut anymore.

Absolutely loved this booked. It was so refreshing! I loved every character. There was so much diversity. I absolutely binged this book I could not get enough of August and Jane! I'm still recovering. Casey McQuiston served so much and for WHAATTT. 10/10

The book felt a bit slower than I would've liked but the ending dude I had my eyes bawling for a second. I love how Casey McQuiston ties everything together and she never forgets any detail. She's an amazing storyteller and I'm becoming a huge fan of her work.
