This wasn’t exciting as thought it would be. A lot of filler and not much crime.

I did like how Ayoola’s crimes were written it was comedic and silly.

I just wish there was more theatrics and drama. It was too short.

While this book is amazing. I didn’t enjoy the ending. I found it a bit more anticlimactic than I would’ve liked.

This book is captivating enough to keep you coming back, but not too demanding of time or energy. It’s short and face paced nature makes it an easy read that is still enjoyable and worth while. I think this book would be a great low risk option for folks who are interested in dipping their toe into thriller/mystery type fiction without having to go too deep into the weeds of scary and unsettling.

It’s been a long time since a book has made me feel this many things. I have a hard time saying I love it because of the nature of the material but it is truly a work of art. It’s made me contemplate what I would do for family and what I would do for myself in a new and curious way.

This thriller may be petite in size but really packed a punch with a truly modern flare. The boo is told from the viewpoint of Korede, a nurse who lives in Lagos with her younger sister, Ayoola, who (you guessed it) is a serial killer. It was a fun read...as shocking as it is to call a book about a serial killer "fun".

Psychologically this was interesting, but I wanted it to be more than it was. I expected more of a thrill, more of a mystery, and yet, for a novel about a serial killer, this story was rather quiet. The dynamics between the characters were certainly compelling, but other than that, there really wasn’t anything clever about the plot. I found myself getting a bit bored in the middle. However, the writing was quite good—which was why I was disappointed, as it had the potential to be so much more.

Very underwhelming. The ending felt as if the author just didn’t know what to write?
