This book was really lovely. It inspired me to get out more for exercise and to remember that exercise is a tool for mental health that is free and never fails to make you feel better.
It made me laugh a lot and I loved how honest and real the author was about their experience and struggles.

I liked this book and I see what Bella has tried to do. If you want an educational book about mental illness then this is great - Bella has clearly done a lot of research and included a lot of her findings within this.
I listened on audible - if I was reading the book I don’t think I would have gotten to the end. It was repetitive and not logical in order, but Bella’s conversational tone kept me going on my commute.
I would recommend this book to people wanting to know more about anxiety and depression - I’m a mental health nurse and lecturer and I will be recommending this to my students who want to hear first hand about how it can impact people but also how running can create hope and contribute to recovery.
I wanted to read this book because I love running and recognise first hand how important it is to my own mental health and ability to manage stress. I would have rated it higher if it wasn’t so repetitive and read less like a report in parts.

This book (borrowed from a friend) did inspire me to run more but there was a lot of repetition, and a lot more about mental health than running. I feel the balance could have been better, but an inspiring read.

An uplifting and inspiring essay that somehow ended up being 250 pages too long.
