More character than plot

While this book spanned 3ish years not much happens plot wise. That is to be expected because there were basically years of resentment with little skirmishes leading up to full rebellion. On the character front there is no shortage of mishaps that happens to each and every person on Fraser’s ridge. Murder, rape, kidnapping, etc etc. The next book is bound to have more action since we end this book at the end of 1776.

I could have done without the numerous references to Claire's and Brianna's arses. But, overall, I really enjoyed this book.
