Two stars for a really interesting concept that was very poorly executed. A great editor would go a long way to helping this series be much better. I was very distracted by the spelling errors, misused words, and choppy plot. Terah definitely has the right idea. Her overall ideas are really innovative and some of the plot twists were quite good, but the three books I just finished (barely) were not well written by any stretch. Keep writing Terah...you have potential!

Honestly, it would have been higher because I liked the story but I couldn’t get over the spelling errors in this batch...

The plot is really starting to get interesting by book 3. The style is a little stilted and jumpy, as in I sometimes get confused and have to reread to make sure I didn't miss anything. In spite of this, the characters and the developing plots are intriguing enough to draw me in. I will be buying the next one.
