i literally don't understand the point of this entire run or the title "bride or burglar" - awful storyline after awful storyline.

This is a beautiful book, continuing to develop Bat's relationship with Cat, but some of the stories really threw me off. There's a two-part story that establishes canonically that the present Batman has lived 30-some odd years in an alternate dimension fighting alongside Wonder Woman nonstop. There's no conceivable way that wouldn't have longer-lasting implications and repercussions, right? Later, there's a Poison Ivy story that really amplifies her abilities to god-tier. I'm not so sure about the idea that Ivy can just turn almost everyone on the planet into a puppet, even acting and speaking through Superman! (Although, it's true Supes has been mind controlled by a LOT of baddies over the years. He should really be investing in better psychic defenses and hand-to-hand combat lessons, based on what we've seen of his many downfalls.)

Tom King continues to find new stories to tell in new ways about Batman. Also of note: Joelle Jones's art on the story about Batman and Wonder Woman giving the Gentle Man a rest from his endless battle in the Realm--especially a two-page spread that is backlit by fire--and Mikel Jann's art on the Poison Ivy story, particularly the lushly vivid greenery that crowds many of the panels and Ivy's leaf-patterned green dress and red hair.

Todo mal porque empecé con la boda y voy leyendo hacia atrás. Pero puedo decir que esta etapa de Batman tiene grandes guiones y estupendos dibujos.

I think I liked half of this one a lot! The opening and closing issues were particularly effective, I really liked the use of different artists in Bride or Burgler

As the wedding between Batman and Catwoman comes closer, it continues to become evident that two high-profile and extraordinary people will not be able to marry without navigating a bit of difficulty--from inter-dimensional battles to world-shaking threats much closer to home.
While not a perfect volume, King continues to deliver exciting and deeply personal stories as he delves into the lives of Bruce, Selina, and those around them. And, honestly, amidst the action and adventure, some of the strongest moments in this series have been the quietest ones--moments of hurting people trying to overcome their pain and find a little bit of hope and connection in a world that doesn't often go their way. The writing is strong, the art is excellent, and this series continues to be a pleasure to read.

На фоне шикарного предыдущего тома это тянет примерно на meh... Хотя сам по себе он не так и плох и в других обстоятельствах был бы даже интересен. Пара предсвадебных историй: кош и мыш спасают друг друга и весь мир, но в целом это как-то на уровне "Войны шуток и загадок", которая третью звезду только за историю Кайт-мена получила.
