Honestly I wish I liked this one because it was popular but I hated it. Alex is a walking red flag. Not in the typical dark romance way where they at least have some redeeming qualities. Alex has none. He definitely loves alpha male podcast bros. I couldn’t believe Ava took him back after he stalked her. Talk about a creep. Him singing to get her back gave me second hand embarrassment. Ava is so bland. Her only personality traits are having childhood trauma and loving red velvet cake. The plot is also way too heavy for a romance novel.

I found the male love interest, Alex, very unlikeable, which made it difficult for me to root for the couple to end up together. I found myself reading like I would a celebrity gossip article… this book felt like brain rot.

I’m baffled by the love this book receives. The plot is completely unrealistic and cringeworthy. I found both characters a bit annoying as well.

Its a good book and I love the character development, but I hated the miscommunication in this book, and the second hand embarrassment scenes killed me.
