Very much enjoyed this book.
This book is filled with magic and adventure. Bronte had never met her parents they left her with her Aunt Isabelle when she was born. Then her absent parents die and Bronte is forced to go on an adventure because the will has been embroidered with faery cross stitch.
She must visit each of her aunts and give them gift from her parents. From saving babies from a river to being caught in an avalanche her visits are far from peaceful.
Can Bronte save the day?

I'm a librarian and the portrayal of The Librarian in this book is just so perfect it's almost impossible to describe how much I love it. She is the least stereotypical and most fun depiction I think I've ever read. I highly recommend this book for a variety of reasons (fun story, a well realized world) but The Librarian is not to be missed.
This book had such a strange hook and I was carried away with it. I read most of it over the weekend and really enjoyed it. Highly recommend for anyone who needs more strong female characters.

This book is highly unusual, yet quite delightful. The language and story have an old-fashioned flair, and Bronte’s adventures pull the plot along. I love the premise of a quest/journey to visit assorted aunts.
This book reminded me of Series of Unfortunate Events because the main character went from one random adventure to another but it was better because at least this was a series of Fortunate events. I prefer character driven over plot driven so it wasn't my favorite but a perfectly fun middle grade read.
