Super cute environmental stewardship and queer family messages. Beautifully illustrated too. Glad I picked it up to read when my kid was done.
This is a wonderful book for children about climate and how there is a need to take care of climate due to how it will hurt us and what we love and we do not. There is also discussion of grief. It is really good.

Each one of O’Neill books has an overarching meaning; for Princess, Princess it was “Be whoever you want to be as long as you do it with heart” and Tea Dragon focused on friendship and how being different isn’t bad. For Aquicorn Cove, it focused on how our relationship with our environment is crucial for us to continue living prosperous lives. It also deals with grief, love, and the power of family. Yes I know it sounds like a Disney movie but it is so good and the messages don’t overpower the story. I totally ship Aunt Mae with Aure, the Sea Goddess. And random thought, I think Lana’s hair looks like Jude’s for The Cruel Prince, just saying.

Katie O'Neill's art is just so damn beautiful.... like hang on the wall gorgeous. This is a story about taking care of the ocean that is a feast for your eyes.

O' Neill strikes again with another beautiful book! I truly cannot get over the gentle art style and beautiful colors of these books. I with there was ten more! Queer inclusive stories with diverse representation that are fantasy oriented with a homey feel. I wish I could live in these environments!
